Carl Bernstein is an American investigative journalist whose reporting, along with Bob Woodward, on the Watergate scandal for The Washington Post led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

He's regarded as one of the most influential journalists of his time. Bernstein has authored several books, most recently a biography of Hillary Clinton.  He remains an active media commentator and a staunch defender of rigorous investigative journalism.
