Fran Walsh is a New Zealand screenwriter, film producer, and director. She is best known for her long-term collaboration with partner Peter Jackson, co-writing and co-producing films like the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "The Hobbit" trilogy, and "King Kong." Walsh has won three Academy Awards for her screenwriting work.
